Thom Yorke's side project previously known as ???? will hit the road this April under its new official name, Atoms For Peace. Yorke assembled the live outlet to bring his 2006 solo album The Eraser to the stage, and debuted the band - which features Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, producer Nigel Godrich, Beck drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco - during a string of shows in Los Angeles last year.
Atoms For Peace will play 9 dates total on their tour, with 2 of those shows at Oakland's Fox Theater. As for why Yorke chose Atoms For Peace, the title of a song on The Eraser, as the name for the band, it just "seemed bleedin' obvious," the Radiohead frontman writes.

Tickets will only be available through internet sales for this show. Doors will open at 7:00pm and the show will begin at 8:00pm. Please use the main entrance on Telegraph Avenue. Please bring the credit card used to purchase the tickets as well as a photo ID. This credit card acts as your ticket so it is very important that you bring the credit card used to purchase the tickets. There is no need to go to the Box Office to collect tickets as the credit card used to purchase the tickets will be swiped to gain access to the venue at the main doors along Telegraph Avenue. All the members of your party need to be present at the time of entry as you will be granted immediate access to the venue. There will be no ins or outs. Shows at the Fox Theater are all ages.
